This presentation introduces newly discovered lectionary evidence related to the Syriac Philoxenian version of the Minor Catholic Epistles and explores its implications for the development of the New Testament canon. Drawing from textual criticism, manuscript studies, and church history, the talk highlights the role of Scripture in early Christian worship and canon formation. A talk from the 2025 Annual Meeting of the ETS Eastern Region. The theme of the meeting was The Wisdom of Scripture for Worship in the Church. The conference was held at Liberty University on April 11-12, 2025.
