This paper argues for interpreting Jeremiah 10:1–16 within the historical and theological context of the Babylonian exile. Through Old Testament studies, historical-critical analysis, and prophetic literature, the presentation explores idolatry, exile, and covenant faithfulness in Jeremiah's message. A talk from the 2025 Annual Meeting of the ETS Eastern Region. The theme of the meeting was The Wisdom of Scripture for Worship in the Church. The conference was held at Liberty University on April 11-12, 2025.
