Greg Bahnsen - Exposition of Luke (100 mp3s)
Greg Bahnsen’s Exposition of Luke (100 mp3s). The Gospel of Luke is a kind of “Gospel from a Greek” at a time when the Roman Empire was about to undergo cataclysmic change (fall of the Julio-Claudian emperors). It may be that (as one legend has it) Dr. Luke, a Greek physician served emperor Vespasian’s brother, Titus Flavius Sabinus (and perhaps this person is “Theophilus”). Vespasian and his son Titus besieged Jerusalem (67-70 AD), fulfilling the prophecy of Luke 21, that the city/temple would be destroyed. In any case, this Gospel provides a compassionate, “Gentile,” and researched perspective of the Jewish Messiah from the traveling companion of St. Paul. Greg Bahnsen, Ph.D. (apologist, philosopher, teacher) systematically expounds the text, making valuable theological, historical and ethical applications.
