Galatians 4 - But I say, as long as the heir is underage, he is no better than a slave, though he is master of all. 2 But he remains under guards and stewards until the set time of the father. 3 In this, we also, while we were children, were enslaved to the old world forces (ta stoicheia tou kosmou). 4 But when came the fullness of time, God sent away His son, born of woman, born under Torah, 5 in order that He might redeem us from under Torah, that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God sent away the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, calling, “Abba the Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son then an heir through God. 8 But when you did not know God, you were enslaved to things that are not by nature gods. 9 But now, knowing God, rather, being known by God, how can you return to the weak and worthless old world forces (stoicheia)? Do you wish to be enslaved by them again? 10 You watch days and months and seasons and years. 11 I am afraid I may have toiled in vain in you. (GS trans.)
