Eight Secrets of Abundant Life (John 10)
John 10:10b - “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
Review of the Good Shepherd’s Offer - Christ offers abundant life to His sheep. Three things are necessary for receiving this abundant life (v10):
1) Entering into the Good Shepherd’s Care (v1, 9) - He is “the door” and there is no other path which leads to this Life.
2) Listening to the Good Shepherd’s Voice (v3, 8) - The “sheep” of Jesus must listen to His voice.
3) Following the Good Shepherd’s Leading (v3, 9) - This abundant life requires enough faith to follow Jesus where He leads.
Restatement of the Good Shepherd’s Offer - Taking this theme of abundant life together with the rest of Scripture, what are the actions that show we are living out this Life? Here are eight secrets of an abundant life in Christ.
