Ms Maria Von Trapp

Ms Maria  Von Trapp Maria Von Trapp is the third child of Captain George von Trapp and his first wife, Agatha von Trapp (nee Whitehead). Part of the family story is pictured in The Sound of Music. The musical portrays how Maria Augusta became the second mother of the seven motherless children. She introduces the family to singing, which led to concerts in Europe and the United States after Hitler invaded their homeland, Austria. After the choir was disbanded in 1956, the artist Maria went to Papua, New Guinea, where she worked as a missionary until 1987. Maria spoke and sung at the 2004 Veritas Academy Teacher Training Progam.
