Dr. Craig  Blaising

Craig Blaising (born 1949) is Provost and Executive Vice President at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Blaising received both his Th.M. and Th.D. at Dallas Theological Seminary (1976 and 1979 respectively), and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland (1988). He is one of the primary proponents of "progressive dispensationalism", whose main goal is to recover the relevance of the Old Testament for the church.

Blaising served as National President of Evangelical Theological Society in 2005, having previously served as President of the Southwest Region in 1986-87. He is also a member of the American Academy of Religion, the International Association for Patristic Studies, the North American Patristic Society, and the Society of Biblical Literature.
