The Resurrection of Jesus
The Resurrection of Jesus in the body is attested as historical fact. Even critical (unbelieving) scholars admit these four facts:
1) Burial of Jesus by Joseph of Arimethea
2) Empty tomb found by women
3) Post mortem appearances of Jesus
4) Change in disciples beliefs
What then is the best explanation for these historically credible facts?
It is not the:
Stolen Body Theory
Twin Theory (the "Dave theory")
Many critics resort to some sort of hallucination theory today and deny the resurrection of the body of Jesus. This will not do because the disciples called this a "resurrection" which meant a body that had come back to life (e.g., The Resurrection of the Son of God, NT Wright).
The best explanation for the rise of Christian faith in light of these facts is that God Raised Jesus from the dead.
