Alphabetic Paraphrase of Psalm 145
Alleluia! I will extol You, my God, O King, And I will anoint Your name always and forever.
Blessings I give to You every day, And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Capacious is the character of the LORD, and highly to be celebrated, And His unending greatness is unsearchable.
Descendant after descendant shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.
Exemplary is the splendor of Your majesty, And on Your excellent works, I will meditate.
Future people shall speak of the fearful power of Your actions, And I will frame Your greatness in all my words.
Goodness shall be what is repeated and remembered of Your gracious abundance, And all will shout with gladness of Your righteousness.
Hallelujah! the Covenant LORD, is gracious and merciful; Slow to hot anger and holy and great in lovingkindness.
Incredibly good to all is the LORD, Incalculable His mercies cover all His works.
Jehovah’s works shall respond in thanks to their creator, And joyfully Your holy ones shall bless You.
Kingdom glory and power shall all the King’s men proclaim so that they,
Lift up up before the sons of men Your mighty acts, And laud the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.
Majestic is Your everlasting kingdom, And Your mighty dominion endures throughout all generations. [Two alphabet letters are covered in the original of this verse.]
Nurturing and sustaining is the LORD to all who fall down, Never abandoning, He raises up all who are bowed down.
Offering food in due time is Your response to the eyes of all who observe Your promises and seek You.
Providing with Your open hand, You satisfy the provisions of every living thing.
Qualified, righteous, and holy is the LORD in all His ways, And quite kind in all His deeds.
Requesting the LORD brings Him near to all who rely upon Him in truth.
Satisfying the desire of those who fear Him, He will also stand to hear their cry and will save them.
THE Covenant LORD keeps all who love Him, But all the terrible people He will destroy.
Uttering the praise of the LORD, my mouth will speak unequivocally, And let all flesh uncontrollably bless His holy name forever and ever. (Alphabetic paraphrase by G. Strawbridge)
