An Overview of 1 and 2 Samuel
A session from the Theopolis Institute 2015 Royal Covenant, Advent-Term Bible Course - Over the centuries, the priestly Mosaic covenant was corrupted by idolatry, and Yahweh finally tore apart the tabernacle in the early days of Samuel. But the Creator always tears down in order to rebuild, and so the priestly covenant was replaced by a royal covenant. The second installment of the Theopolis Bible Survey surveys the period of judges, the transition to kingship that is recorded in 1-2 Samuel, and the history of the kingdom as recorded in 1-2 Kings.
