James B. Jordan - A Theocratic Critique of Theonomy (7 mp3s)
James B. Jordan provides a critique of Bahnsen's theonomic thesis (e.g., Theonomy in Christian Ethics, 1977). “The strict theonomists,” Jordan writes, “say that [we] must implement the Mosaic law as it stands. The more moderate Christian Reconstructionists have said that the Bible as a whole, including the Mosaic law wisely applied in line with New Covenant principles, should be the guide.” The first four of these lectures (e.g., 01 Theocratic Critique of Theonomy) are from the Basileian Lectures Complete Recordings 1988-1997 (101 mp3s) (1988-1997), an organization which brought great speakers to Wilmington, DE to address kingdom themes from the Reformed and Reconstructionist viewpoint. The last 3 items are (e.g., 3 Theonomy A Preliminary Theocratic Critique 1) are from the Biblical Horizons 1991 Conference - Calvinism, Arminianism and Theocracy.
